Frequently Asked Questions

What is UST Giving Day?

Giving Day is one day where students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and friends come together to make an impact on our campus. Donors have the option to select which program, school, or special fund they wish to support by simply selecting the cause from a dropdown menu.

A primary focus of Giving Day this year will be student scholarships through the CeltCare Fund. Originally created in response to Hurricane Harvey, CeltCare is implemented during unprecedented times of hardship for our campus community and goes towards helping students fulfill their educational goals during this pandemic. At this time, the needs of our students drastically outweigh the current CeltCare funds.

How can I participate?

Give! Support the CeltCare Fund, or a program or school that has special meaning to you. Your gift CAN make an immediate difference!

Share! Help spread the word about UST Giving Day with your family, friends and community. Our social media toolkit provides templates for posts and emails as well as graphics to share.

I’m not sure what causes to support. How do I know where to give?

Give to the cause you are most passionate about, whether it’s the school you graduated from or a program you feel will propel UST’s success. If you don’t see a cause that particularly interests you, consider giving a donation to our greatest need – the CeltCare Fund for student COVID-19 relief.

Originally created in response to Hurricane Harvey, CeltCare is implemented during unprecedented times of hardship for our campus community and goes towards helping students fulfill their educational goals during this pandemic. Like many people across the country, a great number of our students are feeling the effects of lost wages and worrying about their ability to continue their education due to lack of family finances. At this time, the needs of our students drastically outweigh the current CeltCare funds.

Can I give to more than one cause?

Absolutely! When making your gift, you have the option to add designations and indicate the amount you'd like to give to each one.

How will my gift be used?

This will depend on the designation you choose to support. Each cause has a short description at www.ustgivingday.com
